Design Concept

This case study highlights the transformative journey of transforming a vintage space into a harmonious blend of nostalgic charm and contemporary relaxation. The aim was to honor the home’s original character while infusing elements that appeal to today’s hipster sensibility, making it a sanctuary of comfort and style in one stunning package.

Our design approach began with a deep appreciation for the home’s vintage architecture. The original wood paneling, large windows, and geometric shapes inspired us to retain those features while introducing a palette that captures both warmth and modernity. Earthy tones paired with splashes of trendy pastels create an inviting atmosphere, reminiscent of a cozy mountain lodge. Textures play a vital role in our vision; we incorporated rustic woods, soft linens, and vintage textiles to enhance the tactile experience and allow the space to breathe.

In redesigning the interiors, we focused on creating open, flowing spaces that encourage relaxation and connection. The living area became our centerpiece, reimagined with a mix of repurposed and new furniture that provides both comfort and style. Vintage finds sourced from local thrift stores were juxtaposed with sleek, contemporary pieces, creating a unique aesthetic that is both eclectic and inviting. Each room tells a story, with artful arrangements that celebrate the past while embracing the funky flair of modern design.
