Design Concept

The design project centered around a beautiful mid-century modern home that graces the shores of a tranquil lake, emphasizing the need to honor its historic charm while integrating a modern sensibility. The challenge was not only to maintain the essence of the original architecture but also to enhance the living space in a way that breathed new life into the home. By focusing on a thoughtful preservation approach, the team aimed to minimize remodeling costs while making smart modifications to expand the home's footprint whenever possible.

In this journey of revitalization, the design strategy embraced a curated contemporary aesthetic that harmoniously intertwined with the vintage elements of the house. Each room was carefully designed to highlight the timeless charm of the mid-century era, while also ensuring that the modern features would resonate with the client’s lifestyle. Warm hues, organic materials, and understated elegance were introduced to create a vibrant yet cozy atmosphere that feels both inviting and sophisticated.

With a keen eye for detail, the designers sought to preserve key architectural features, such as the original wood paneling and iconic light fixtures, juxtaposed with modern furnishings and décor that add personality and flair.
